Title: Capacity Planner

Reports to: CFO
Position Purpose: The position is responsible for capacity planning, including evaluating current and future capacity and sales growth, preparing plans for plant capacity and providing comprehensive support for the same. Will coordinate with labs, greenhouse, and finance and perform all plant capacity planning activities for Phytelligence. Must understand how the business operates and plans for future capacity requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand business, including MultiPHY™ process and sales plans
  • Evaluate and prepare plans for capacity procedures and provide comprehensive support for same
  • Prepare performance models to analyze and plan capacity for plant production in conjunction with appropriate departments and provide appropriate recommendations
  • Inform Sales Team of capacity for future sales, react to requests from sales
  • Perform analysis on all development plans for production and ensure compliance with all customer orders
  • Collaborate with laboratory and GH leaders to design and schedule all monthly production, ensure effective implementation of the schedule and monitor for effectiveness
  • Design and maintain all performance capacity reports and statistics for management
  • Provide assistance to analytical design of systems and forecast all resource capacity requirements
  • Develop various new functions and capacity processes, analyze existing processes, identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • At least 3 years previous experience in a capacity planning role
  • Good understanding of long-term lead time products and knowledge of production processes and capacity planning
  • Demonstrable experience in statistics, forecasting and management information methods and techniques
  • Previous experience of building capacity/forecasting models and plans and undertaking complex analysis to create information
